We seek a friendly, reliable, and highly motivated individual with strong communication skills who enjoys security work to join the Security Team. As a member of this team, you will make things more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing sensitive data. You must be a positive and proactive problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet while providing excellent customer service.˜
Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
Engineer, monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
Auditing systems for compliance
Develop best practices and security standards/requirements and document standard operating procedures and protocols for the organization
Test company software, firmware, and firewalls
Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
Keep current with industry practices and emerging threats
This position requires flexibility to work additional hours and be on-call when necessary. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years' experience as a System/Information Security Engineer
Certifications such as Security+ or equivalent desired
Experience with AWS Infrastructure and their Security systems
Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise
Basic coding skills, such as HTML, CSS and other languages
Highly responsive and proven professionalism in communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong skills in implementing and configuring security components.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to maintain in-depth knowledge of security and networking infrastructure utilized by the company including the management and reporting of each
An understanding of best practices
Ability to prioritize projects
