How you’ll make a difference:

As the Director of Data Analytics you will partner with our Sales and Stores teams to better understand and engage with our customers, and help build new ways to serve them that work well for our customers, the Inkers who interact with them, and the business as a whole. This will include developing a deep understanding of our sales programs, become a strong thought partner for our Sales & Stores leadership teams, and building tools and processes that support these teams.


What you’ll do:

  • Build a strong thought partnership with our sales/stores teams, understanding their objectives, needs, and KPIs

  • Become an expert in all of our sales/stores programs, and leverage expertise to make meaningful, data-driven contributions to our strategic discussions and decisions

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and analytical business thinking

  • Synthesize information to provide a clear picture of customer, channel, and rep performance, including determining opportunities for improvement and enhancements

  • Develop and improve tools that empower stakeholders to easily and effectively analyze their business

  • Unlock the value of our CRM data to improve sales cadence and workflows. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise as it relates to sales modeling, optimization, and data program rollouts/execution

  • Develop and improve tools that empower stakeholders to easily and effectively analyze their business

  • Provide clear linkage between actions, specific metrics, and the top/bottom line outcomes


How you’ll be measured:

  • Deliver timely and valuable insights that contribute to the customer’s interaction and overall effectiveness

  • Leverage and lead analytic projects to optimize sales efforts and enhanced experiences for Custom Ink’s current customer base

  • Communication and Integration of new data optimization initiatives as a proven thought partner within the Sales and Stores Teams  

  • Elevation of analytic capabilities and measured results for the D&A team, partnered stores, and sales teams

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years management experience leading and directing data analytic initiatives and teams 

  • Synthesize complex analyses and communicate them in a consumable way for our business partners

  • Influence with senior management, stakeholders, and company at large, including ability to address challenges head on and be a champion for the analytics team

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience working with strong Sales and/or Store operations cooperate wide

  • Effectively collaborate across the company, either through personal initiatives or by leading the team

  • Expert in SQL and spreadsheet applications. Experience with BI (Tableau, Power BI) and Stats (R, Python, SAS, SPSS) programs

  • Deep understanding of data, how it’s collected, relationship between datasets, and ability to identify holes. (ie ETL processes)

  • Standardize analytics team processes 

  • Ability to ensure quality of analyses of all types

  • Identify and rollout new metrics and tools that change the behavior of teams
