Outpatient Registered Dietitian (Partial Remote) job at Sodexo, BOSTON

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for their Nutrition Clinic Coordinator position at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital, located in Jamaica Plain, MA.  As part of the Mass General Brigham Health System and in affiliation with Harvard Medical School, this position will provide medical nutrition therapy to clients, facilitate group sessions/community events, create and maintain innovative programs and mentor/guide other Registered Dietitians in the program. 

This position provides in-person counseling with clients 1 day/week and telehealth counseling 4 days/week. 

The successful candidate will:

• Empower clients to achieve life changing goals through medical nutrition therapy;
• Provide individualized and group education to clients through evidence-based nutrition care;
• Be proficient with the use of motivational interviewing;
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions with overall improvement in clinical outcomes;
• Counsel clients both in-person and virtually through telehealth; 
• Participate in quality improvement within the department.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Be a Registered Dietitian with at least 3-5 years of experience providing MNT counseling; 
• Licensure in the state of Massachusetts is required;
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members at all levels;
• Have the proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
• Have strong presentation skills;
• Have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas.

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties
-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
