The Senior Network Security Analyst in this role is responsible for ensuring that important information from the security infrastructure and other sources regarding the operation of the Zimmer Biomet network and applications is aggregated in a single repository and evaluated to look for anomalies that should then be investigated. The incumbent of this role will have a direct effect across the entire global network. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.
  • Provides technical leadership and serves as the technical point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand the requirement and translate it into Security implementation.
  • Develop and report metrics showing patching, remediation, and implementation of Information Security best practices. Ensure reporting dashboards are complete and accurate. 
  • Coordinates the configuration and operation of the network monitoring tools, firewalls, and network devices.
  • Coordinate incident response activities with Managed Security Service providers as necessary. 
  • Partners with customer community to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems or improve existing processes.
  • Interfaces with suppliers and vendors as needed to evaluate software, hardware or services and makes recommendations.
  • Under minimal direction, performs basic analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance activities in various areas of IT security.
  • Works independently and leads assignments of moderate to medium complexity within area of specialization and across functional groups.
Expected Areas of Competence
  • Able to simplify complex issues in oral and written communications and recommend corrective actions.
  • Able to balance short term/long-term operational plans, performance, and mature policies to promote evolving risk-management techniques.
  • Has clear, complete and in depth understanding of information security requirements that apply to networks, devices, and tools needed to increase security across an enterprise infrastructure.
  • Understands and is able to apply industry best practices to maximize efficiencies and achieve adherence to diverse program guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of Information Security, IT in general and IT Infrastructure with a focus on networking and security operations.
  • Drives outward results and ensures high-quality standards are met.
  • Strong understanding of information security frameworks, especially relating to network tool functions.
  • Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Agile thinking and analysis that leads to win-win and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately triage security events and incidents to stop immediate threats.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology or related field required with at least 5 years IT security or networking experience; OR Master’s degree or higher in business, IT, or related field with at least 4 years IT security or networking experience
  • Demonstrated experience with network security, networking technologies, information security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and reporting metrics to reflect network security.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand lines of business requirements and translate requirements into network security implementation.
  • At least one IT Security certifications preferred. (i.e., Security +, CISSP, CEH, SANS, CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, etc.)
  • Agile, Six Sigma, Scrum Product Owner, ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
