- Skill and experience with a LAMP stack running on AWS:
- OOP php (CI framework)
- Mysql (Advanced SQL knowledge)
- API integrations: Stripe, Xero, Facebook, Google, etc
- AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, Route53
- Basic linux admin skills (command line, restart services, etc)
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with Scrum in software development
- Solar experience is not required, but an interest in solar is

- We’re not looking for a full-stack developer for this position but we’ll absolutely consider it if you have the skillset.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining, optimizing, and improving our lead distribution and processing application and the related microservices we’ve built from scratch over the last nearly 9 years. In other words, there is a considerable code base that needs to be maintained and improved..
Our app does heavy lifting for us, including real-time lead scoring and validation, along with price matching in a complex marketplace dynamic (among numerous other things I can’t list here). We’re constantly evolving to meet needs in a high-growth environment, and there is tech debt we need to accommodate in some areas before we can proceed.
Our development process for new software is based on rapidly changing business objectives, quarterly project work, the needs for refactoring/rebuilding core technology, and responding to day to day technological issues that come up.
Your primary role will be maintaining and optimizing our existing microservices, as well as addressing bugs and other timely issues that come up. You must be extremely comfortable working on/maintaining/improving existing code, as we're looking for a maintainer/optimizer vs a builder first and foremost, although based on our small team size there may be ample opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
Your day to day will be knocking out weekly Scrum points alongside and managed by our lead software developer who has been with us since 2014. You will work directly with our lead Product Manager, who will be helping to plan weekly sprints, as well as the rest of the team.
