Account Manager

This role will be responsible for cultivating relationships with customers

and shippers, acquiring shipping opportunities and various activities ensuring long term success.

Job Type: Full-time

  • Spearhead tactics and strategies to advance the business development within our client's existing customer base.
  • Act as a Lead Liaison between Carrier Sales Representatives and our client's customers to ensure successful load lifecycles.
  • Engage in the negotiation of rates on spot or transactional basis to maximize revenue.
  • Run point on all escalation with customer exceptions and shipment issues to determine the best course of action with implementation of solutions.
  • Reinforce strong relationships with existing customers base through daily check-ins with existing accounts.
  • Continuously communicate the company’s differentiated value as best-in-class service provider.
  • Be a champion of initiatives within your team ensuring compliance with company’s standards and SOP’s.
  • Participate in internal meetings and discussions for proper alignment of carriers and representatives.
  • When necessary, flex in to assist in core activities such as updating internal systems, providing rate quotes and/or updates to existing customers and other tasks to ensure proper resourcing of accounts.
  • Monitor revenue and margin goals for yourself and your team.
  • Monitor win rates and provide supplemental strategies to help increase the percentage of loads booked.
  • Meet or exceed monthly gross profit and revenue goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • 1-year relevant industry experience with a proven track record for hitting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators.
  • 2–4-year degree from an accredited university is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail with superb prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Accountable, direct, and confident in personality with desire to strive to improve.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
