The Account Manager works under direction of the Director of Client Program Management to ensure operational excellence, client satisfaction and creative marketing campaign launch success.

As an Account Manager you have the rare ability to combine your strong interpersonal skills with operational excellence and act as day-to-day point of contact for internal/external team members and client stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to help manage various direct mail and digital marketing projects from initial concept through execution & measurement. You’ll also serve and support client goals and initiatives in the strategic direction, creation, execution, monitoring, and measurement of direct response media plans. Excellent customer service skills are a must. The individual must be highly organized, be a master at multi-tasking, and possess strong communication skills.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Work with cross-functional agency team and subject matter experts to solve client challenges and prioritize appropriately

· Provide daily communications regarding project status, including updates on schedules, resources, risks and issues to core team members and client

· Manage project execution within specified time, resource and scope restrictions

· Route and review all marketing creative to internal and client stakeholders, tracking and managing all edits, feedback, and approvals

· Create and negotiate job schedules and ensure that the team understands the project parameters, including specs, potential vendor limitations, schedules and responsibilities

· Ensure that all contracts, estimates, purchase orders or other important documents necessary to begin a job signed and available to the team

· Offer solutions and alternatives when problems arise

· Recognize opportunities for and initiate improvements on workflow and processes

  • Act as team task manager, ensuring all critical milestones and client deliverables are met and expectations on timing are clear
  • Attend periodic/regular internal agency meetings and external client meetings.
  • Participate in quarterly, semi-annual, annual meetings for planning as needed

· You will prepare media plans, buy media placements, provide best practice and creative strategic direction for media assets, set up and monitor digital campaigns, proof reporting, and make performance optimization recommendations.

· Act as a key contact for media vendors/partners in a variety of mediums to negotiate strategic opportunities.

· Monitor plan execution and serve as a first point of contact to raise and resolve any identified issues/discrepancies


· BA/BS, marketing, business, or communications degree preferred

· 4+ years marketing agency experience strongly preferred

· Direct marketing experience a plus

· Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills

· You have demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas and media concepts in a simple, and easy to understand yet creative style

· Self-motivated, detail-oriented with ability to manage many tasks simultaneously

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization

· Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications

· Proficiency in Workfront Proof a plus
