We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate account manager in our business development department. If you are experienced in managing large accounts in sports and entertainment and get energy from business development and project management, we'd love to hear from you. We are aiming to build some of the most unique activations in motorsports with our clients and we need your help to bring them to life. The primary function of this role will be to look after current accounts but comes with the opportunity to expand our business with new partnerships as well.

As the person responsible for supporting day-to-day care and attention of some of our largest accounts, you will be managing multiple project deliverables while supporting the client's internal objectives and activations. You will be directing the motorsports brand planning process, client communications and new ideation.

The successful candidate will be ready to travel to the world's most exciting events and get energy from being the point of contact for our clients. This role needs a certain level of motorsports knowledge and a deep understanding of how sponsorships work to deliver on business objectives and marketing ROI. Attention to detail is critical because in our line of work, the smallest things are often what success for our partners comes down to. You will also be in regular contact with the world's leading race teams, venues, series and vendors.

Scope of Responsibilities

Working in a lean and potent agency, you will have a depth of responsibilities right from your first day at SD. Your expertise will be referenced, respected and leveraged daily. While these are the things we will need from you at the onset, over time you have the opportunity to develop your path to building maximum value in this role and for yourself. 

  • Support 2-3 active accounts to ensure program success
  • Opportunity to lead 1 active account to ensure program success
  • Be the responsive and proactive day-to-day point of contact for clients and partners
  • Collaborate with the motorsports brand planning process each year to generate efficient, effective and creative activations
  • Collaborate with other creative, media and PR agencies to ensure alignment for clients
  • Responsible for growth of current accounts and development of KPIs
  • Travel required to certain race and non-race events to support onsite programs
  • Develop SD's internal account management processes and efficiencies with your experience

Technical and Tactical Requirements

  • Relevant experience of managing accounts in sports and entertainment
  • Experience working with major sports teams, series and leading brands
  • Experience with sponsorship development and activation
  • Advanced software knowledge of Office365
  • HubSpot CRM knowledge, preferred
  • Reputable 4-year university degree, or equivalent, preferred
