You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Prefer a candidate within the Fort Worth, TX area. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Innovate healthcare solutions for individuals, small business, and the self-employed 
  • Analyze and interpret the key drivers of product performance
  • Develop pricing methodologies, assumptions, and cost estimates
  • Work with large datasets to update existing reports and create new reports as needs evolve   
  • Perform complex analyses and actuarial modeling that provides management with meaningful findings and conclusions
  • Communicate results of complex analyses to various audiences
  • Design and communicate rating schedules for implementation
  • Prepare rate filings and other deliverables for regulatory need

There is a solid desire for this person to live in Fort Worth, TX so they can come into the office 3 days a week.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2+ Society of Actuaries Exams
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of experience in Healthcare/Life Actuarial Science
  • Experience discussing actuarial concepts to non-actuarial audiences
  • Intermediate Tableau and/or SQL
  • Subject matter expert in one or more technical actuarial functions
  • Travel one week per year
  • Currently located in Fort Worth, TX and can come into the office 3 days a week
  • Hybrid in-person/telecommute availability
  • Degree in Actuarial Science

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
