The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Technical Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. The Technical Sales Engineer must be able to identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process, project implementation and follow up. Must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
The Technical Sales Engineer will also provide post-sales oversight of projects by ensuring all required pre-installation criteria is clearly defined and understood by the customer or partner, the correct product is produced, the product is delivered when required, and that the customer is referenceable by ensuring their full satisfaction.
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with strong ability to interact positively with both technical and non-technical personnel. Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a small company selling technical solutions. Must possess strong oral, written, and presentation skills and able to communicate professionally. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed.
