Intrado is looking to hire a Director of Incident and Crisis Response to join our team.

Director of Incident and Crisis Response for Intrado is a supervisor role that will handle crisis escalations and provide direction to incident staff on support activities and associated communication elements. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Manage crisis response plans and incident response procedures to ensure continuity of process and assist staff in resolving crisis and severe incidents. 
  • Provide business leaders with the information and tools to make critical decisions in response to a crisis event impacting the organization. 
  • Coordinate with program leads from business continuity, IT disaster recovery, risk management, and Office Response Teams across the organization to establish and maintain plan integration, collaboration, robust communication, and effective handoffs for preparing for, responding to, and recovering from crises and related incidents with the potential to impact Intrado’s mission.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Incident Command Team, maintaining an overall incident perspective and ensure the Incident Command System (ICS) processes are properly followed while ensuring adherence to corporate and department policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible to ensure Incident Command shifts are scheduled and the ICS is open 24/7.
  • Must be able to operate in environment of limited information, multiple competing priorities, and at times, high stress.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in:  Business, Management, Info Systems Management, or equivalent work experience, required
  • IT Process framework certification (ITIL, AGILE, etc.), Crisis Response certification (CERT, ICS, etc.) preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience (with at least 2 being in a supervisory position) in a one or more of the following areas crisis management, emergency management, risk management, business continuity, organizational resilience, crisis communications, or disaster response required
  • 2+ years of experience managing crisis, emergency, risk, and/or resilience-related technology platforms needed
  • Knowledge and understanding of crisis management frameworks, response operations, and crisis communication
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in crisis situations to all levels of the organization
  • Utilize principles and practices of Incident Command to provide calm direction in chaotic and tense situations
  • Lead incident team resources in the development and execution of restoration plans for system
  • issues and outages during assigned shift from incident initiation through closure, bringing in additional resources and managing handoffs as needed
  • Ensure activities are properly documented
  • Ensure the appropriate communication is maintained throughout the incident/crisis process including pages, email, internal and external updates, regulatory and legal notifications
  • Maintain problem and impact statements ensuring they are current
  • Establish incident/crisis objectives and the plan of resolution and tracking progress until conclusion
  • Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skill necessary to lead staff and handle unique management challenges
  • Supervise, prepare, and distribute a variety of reports as requested.
  • Working knowledge of Everbridge Emergency Alerting System (or other EAS), FusionRM (or other planning platform), MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint desired.
