Paya is seeking an Education focused ISV Strategic Partner Development Manager for full-time roles. This is a virtual position with travel involved. Candidates must have high-energy, driven professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude, natural sales instincts, attention to detail, and absolute sense of urgency. You will be responsible for managing and driving the day-to-day activities and identifying new strategies and areas for growth for a base of new and existing top Paya partners based upon Paya and team’s overall strategic goals. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with senior leadership (at Paya and partner), product, marketing teams, and pricing, to build out and manage GTM strategy, focused on developing & driving the growth of the partner within the Paya ecosystem.

Ideal candidates should be eager to advance in our organization by demonstrating their ability to be a tenacious self-starter every day. You will be responsible for working closely with your base of partners to identify areas of growth from the partner’s existing install base. This will include developing tactical plans with the partner to maximize penetration of their customer base as well as ensuring Paya attach rates with all new partner customers. You should have prior experience in building strong relationship that resulted in overall growth of large ISV Partner Organizations. This is an individual contributor role with base salary and commissions. The ideal candidate is proven collaborator across multiple stakeholders with strong leadership, solutioning skills, and a passion to win.

In this role, you will:

  • Understand partner’s overall business model, ecosystems, needs of partners and Paya solutions to uncover opportunities and craft partner specific solutions within a sustained growth model.
  • Create and drive strategic initiatives with partners & be-seen-as a subject matter expert that the partners can rely on for product, payment & industry trends, best practices & expertise.
  • Deliver on stated business and financial goals
  • Build relationships with senior management at potential partners, engendering trust, confidence, loyalty, awareness and mutual benefit.
  • Establish yourself internally and externally as the main point of contact for anything related to your partner and align internally through strong involvement across Paya.
  • Provide product guidance and recommendations to new partners to assist with their implementation of Paya solutions to maximize adoption.
  • Project Management of large strategic deals from pitch to launch & execution to manage partner marketing programs & plans.
  • You should have prior relationship management experience in building and driving meaningful results within your core base of partners.
  • This is an individual contributor role with a base salary and commissions. You must possess an expert understanding of how to drive business with and through the partner ecosystem.
  • Individual must be a self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business.

You should have:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in Education relationship management, sales, and/or business development.
  • Track record of successfully delivering growth targets within an existing Education partner portfolio
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to drive results with C-level contacts internally and externally.
  • Comfortable navigating large and complex Education organizations to influencing and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Solid understanding of payments ecosystem.
  • Experience selling with the MEDDIC methodology is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proven track record for achieving quota in Education technology sales.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, environment.
