Incendia Partners is representing our client, a Consulting Firm focused on transition services, employee outplacement, and leadership development, as they hire an Engagement Specialist. This unique role requires someone who is outgoing, empathetic, compassionate, and who enjoys helping people through difficult times.


Direct Prior experience is not required as training will be provided, assuming that you have some foundational business skills and are comfortable making outbound phone calls. The successful candidate can come from a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to: Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Account Management, Financial Services Representative, Recruiting, Sourcer, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Benefits Specialist, Fund Raising, Career or Guidance Counseling, etc.

Position Summary

The Engagement Specialist will conduct warm outreach to employees impacted by layoffs and reductions in force, to make them aware of and help access company sponsored career transition benefits (such as resume writing, interview preparation, and career coaching). Using a variety of methods ( outbound phone calls, email, social media) the Engagement Specialist will contact affected employees who have already been made aware of the company sponsored benefits, and help answer questions about available benefits and schedule them with the appropriate Career Counselor.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily outreach activities to candidates eligible for company sponsored benefits
  • Engage candidates to describe services, answer questions, and schedule first appointments
  • Utilize diverse methods of daily activity including outbound calls, email, text messages and social media
  • Provide a first class candidate experience by documenting conversation details in the CRM database (Salesforce) to provide personalized future interactions with the client
  • Provide additional support to the Customer Success Team as needed


Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of transferable experience (see above)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast faced environment
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Computer skills including knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Highly comfortable making outbound phone calls and meeting with clients in person


Compensation:

  • Base Salary + Commission
