The Fiber Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for developing analytical tools including, but not limited to data visualizations, web applications, geospatial analytics, and customization of raw data sets into meaningful data. Responsibilities include the management of the processes responsible for accurate collection, cleaning, and reporting of data. The output of the analytics will be actionable analysis for optimization of the supply chain and cost reduction efforts. They will serve as the analytics expert for Fiber business analytics, requiring experience in utilization of large data sets in enterprise business intelligence applications.

They will play a pivotal role in Enviva’s expansion by optimizing current fiber processes and systems, creating a data strategy to support scaling, and advocating in the evaluation and configuration of recent technologies and scale systems.

They will use analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures. They will collaborate closely with leaders to support and implement high-quality/value, data-driven decisions.

The Fiber Business Intelligence Manager will have a team of direct report (3-5). They will be responsible for creating the strategy, setting objectives for the functions, and managing through the team. They will be responsible for the performance, development, and support of all direct reports.


  • Lead analysis projects to achieve data formality, create process consistency and provide data-driven insights to improve Fiber Procurement (supply and cost) across all regions
  • Leverage various data management tools and applications, including but not limited to: MS Excel, Access, and PowerBI to create innovative reports, analytics, and visualizations
  • Analyze, reconcile, and report all financial and harvest data for the Stumpage Program; responsible for reconciling and reporting the ~120,000 tons of stumpage acquired each month and responsible for accurate balance sheet of $1.5M-$2.0M worth of assets at any time
  • Own the expansion and development of FiberCo to all regions; includes the deployment to the Cloud environment and overseeing the migration of related terminal servers to the Cloud
  • Develop a coherent data strategy that enables business to scale beyond its current capabilities
  • Own all Fiber software/process applications, including system evaluations, configuration of data structure and warehouse, system integrations, and end user adoption
  • Support monthly KPI processes
  • Conduct quarterly mock audits with the Admin team to assess for SOX compliance
  • Provide all necessary documentation during internal SOX compliance audits and EY audits
  • Work closely with the Technology and IT PMO groups to ensure ongoing refinement of our analytical tools and development of innovative solutions
  • Create data products to communicate results to multiple levels of the organization – includes daily dashboards of inventory, price & volume, refreshable visualizations of turn times for operational plant leadership, inventory run-out scenario analysis
  • Report Enterprise level cost and volume against previous year, budget and/or forecast on monthly, quarterly, and yearly intervals
  • Accelerate change through process discipline, standardization, alignment, and governance
  • Assist in regular forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Develop the strategy and execution of new analytics products to solve business challenges


  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Wood Products industry
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience leading a team of direct reports
  • A./B.S required; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
  • Proven ability to conduct an elevated level of qualitative and quantitative research, analysis & synthesis
  • Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership and change management leadership
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic projects
  • Proven ability to present direct, streamlined information in a timely manner
  • Advanced abilities in data management tools and applications including, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerBI

Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with SMS Turbo, ALDATA, 3LOG/Trimble or related software
  • Experience with SQL Server or relational databases
  • Microsoft Office Super User
  • Willing and able to work in a sitting or standing environment for 8-10 hours at a time
  • Business Intelligence Tools, including Power BI

Travel requirements

  • Travel to various Enviva locations up to 25% of the time
