Objective: Drive brand market share via the wholesale channel through business and industry understanding, existing and new retail partnerships, and sales agency management. 


Primary Responsibilities

·      Create strategic seasonal plan to pursue and achieve sales goals, including at the channel, territory, customer, and sales program levels

·      Use professional selling skills, category analysis, and leverage the organization to create and deliver effective and impactful presentations to introduce and sell existing/new products to all accounts

·      Manage, inspire and evaluate territory sales agencies to achieve financial and strategic sales goals

·      Maintain and build account relationships with key customers by making periodic visits, hosting early and pre-season line reviews, managing order booking process, and proactively addressing in-season needs

·      Open new brand appropriate distribution and expand breadth of the assortment

·      Manage the integrity of the brand on online marketplaces, i.e. Amazon

·      Host and lead national sales meeting process and execution; deliver strategic plans and provide expert market insights to accomplish plans

·      Drive trade show process, attend trade shows to meet with key accounts, present the line, and represent the brand

·      Motivate in season sales through software partnerships, data analytics, and inventory optimization

·      Define sales tools and resources needed to achieve targets, including required budget

·      Work with Marketing and Product to execute new in-store and product opportunities

·      Manage wholsales opex budget

·      Represent the wholesale channel and voice of retailers in the product planning process

·      Communicate regularly with Merchandising, Production, Marketing & Executive Management teams on channel needs, sell-through and sell-in developments

·      Coordinate with VP of Sales to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are met

·      Serve as an ambassador of Toad&Co goals, principles and culture


Position Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing or related field, or equivalent

·      Minimum of 6-8 years of direct sales experience, ideally in the apparel or sporting goods / outdoor industry – particularly sales management and/or business development

·      Strong existing relationships with specialty retailers in outdoor, sporting goods, and lifestyle industries desired

·      Knowledge of merchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis

·      Knowledge of the specialty retail industry, consumer buying patterns and retail dynamics sufficient to be credible and influential with customers
