Contract Negotiation. Preparing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements for the UHC Share Services Contract Team (“Contracts Team”).

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDA) with customers and their vendors, consultants etc.  Explain the company's position and rationale on contract terms (legal, business and financial) and develop appropriate compromises in NDA language while maintaining compliance with legal and business requirements, relevant data management policies and laws/regulations
  • Manage multiple contract priorities for a complex customer caseload
  • Produce required NDA documents meeting expectations of timeliness and quality
  • Communicate risk and explain NDA language, terminology and United data sharing policies appropriately to sales and other business partners
  • Apply systems and technology to administer the NDA process
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects/assignments as required

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in health care insurance with proficiency in business operations
  • 2+ years of experience negotiating contract documents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of documents under tight deadlines
  • Work with NDAs
  • Demonstrated solid project management, analysis and teamwork skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a highly dynamic fast-paced environment, within tight deadlines while quickly shifting priorities, serving multiple customers and managing multiple assignments
  • Solid people management skills; clear and honest communication practices; ability to communicate and work well with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability in expressing ideas and influencing others and building consensus among many stakeholders
  • Ability to work well independently utilizing good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentations skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
