Today, we are a thriving a 260-bed, acute care hospital that offers comprehensive services including a Level III Trauma Center, cardiovascular, neurological services, general surgery, orthopedics, women's services, a neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center, a stroke rehabilitation center and has achieved The Joint Commission's certification for total hip and total knee replacement.
We offer exciting job opportunities for junior and senior nursing students. Nurse Extern positions were created for the working student nurse. This position combines working as a CNA and gaining experience with clinical skills alongside Registered Nurses. Our Graduate Nurse Interns will be included in our evidence-based Nurse Residency Program that provides new nurses with transition tools to develop as a Professional Registered Nurse.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- Completed at least 1 semester of clinical experience.
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
