Leading Insurance Company, AssuredPartners of Houston, is seeking an Account Manager to join our Personal Lines team!

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM CST

Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager Role:

As a part of our collective team interfacing directly with our clients, prospects, and carrier partners, you will be responsible for consistently delivering our client experience. Working alongside the Producers and the Personal Lines team, the Account Manager provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients' insurance needs. The Account Manager will support the design and recommend proper insurance and risk management services to clients. The Account Manager has superior insurance product knowledge and is familiar with the specific policies offered by the agency's carriers. The Account Manager may also assist in the production of new and renewal accounts.

Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager Requirements:

• 3+ years experience managing personal line insurance accounts across all client industry types and coverages
• Experience working within an insurance agency setting required
• Property and Casualty Insurance license required (active)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent in education and experience)
• Experience in wind, flood, and coastal claims is highly preferred
• High level of proficiency quoting carriers online
• Experience with an agency management system required
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and strong keyboarding skills
• Excel experience required - must know how to edit columns, calculate basic formulas (percentages, etc.), and organize spreadsheets

Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager Responsibilities:

• Responds to client requests for policy changes, billing inquiries, and verification of coverage. Will be directly client-facing to answer questions about their policies.
• Maintains files on outstanding orders, correspondence, claims, renewal expirations and follows up on overdue and suspense items
• Develops complete client information and applications for new and renewal business. Markets to insurance carriers and prepares proposals. Compares coverage forms with review by senior team members if needed.
• Checks new and renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy in coverage. Prepares renewal questionnaires.
• Works with the Producer to generate Personal Lines referrals
• Markets and upsells lines of insurance to clients
• Determines reasons for requests for cancellations and acts to retain accounts. If unable, secures Lost Policy Release and follow through to policy cancellation.
• Manages accounts receivable on the book of business to assure timely collection and involves Producer when necessary
• Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel/underwriters
• Participates in continuing professional development as required by state licensing requirements and agency guidelines
• Supports or trains other team members in order to meet essential duties and responsibilities
