As a Manager in our OptumCare Operations team, you will build and improve provider contract/rate loading processes.  You will set the strategy for provider configuration operations that improve our delegation capabilities in servicing our providers.  You and your team will do this by working with business partners to take your ideas from vision to execution.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and manage a team of configuration analysts – ensure performance metrics are achieved and measured effectively
  • Responsible for turn around time, quality and finance performance metrics related to pricing configuration operations
  • Set the direction on priorities for the team including work assignment, productivity tracking and capacity planning
  • Partner with multiple functional operations leaders to achieve the overall operational goals and key metrics
  • Become a trusted partner to our market partners allowing delivery of growth and expansion targets
  • Ensure escalations and issue management are responded to timely with a sense of urgency and remediation plans to avoid future issues
  • Develop foundational processes for our scaling provider configuration processes and summarize the complexity of our operation in clear, digestible explanations
  • Identify process improvements to simplify and streamline provider contract loading
  • Responsible for high quality performance including proactive improvements, root cause/remediation and automation ideas to increase quality outcomes
  • Conduct 1:1’s, team meetings and huddles to keep team informed and share business changes and updates
  • Support your team and leadership by guiding decisions, removing obstacles and coaching to a higher skill level
  • Partner with offshore operations to tightly manage performance and align on process changes and business imperatives
  • Assist with communication materials and present information to business partners, executive leaders and staff of all levels, on team performance, issue management and progress on key initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of operational management experience
  • 2+ years of pricing or contract management experience
  • Healthcare operations experience with Medicare LOB
  • Experience producing superior results in a performance driven environment
  • Experience working with all levels of management across all functional areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with Global teams
  • Facets provider contract loading experience
  • Multi Payor experience
  • Claims operations experience
  • Commercial, Behavior Health or Medicaid Healthcare operations experience
  • Multi payor experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
