The Associate Network Contractor is responsible for assisting in the contractual process which includes provider updates, negotiating contractual rates with department reimbursement standards, contract language, and processing executed agreements. Responsibilities also include developing effective relationships with providers to maintain open lines of communication, prioritizing contracting needs and negotiating single case agreements. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the contracting process to include provider updates and notifications, negotiating contractual rates, contract language, and processing executed agreements
  • Educate providers on the organization’s process and procedures in order to ensure provider compliance and ease of administration
  • Identify and gather information regarding provider issues in order to develop and/or implement strategy to resolve matter, keep manager informed of progress, or escalate issue to appropriate internal business partner
  • Conduct network recruitment activates with targeted providers to solicit participation
  • Represent the contracting department in internal meetings to gather information, recommend solutions and provide updates 
  • Negotiate single case agreements
  • Participating in external provider meetings 
  • Works with all colleague levels and cross-disciplinary groups 
  • Ability to adapt to change/remain flexible, meet expected deadlines and act as a team player
  • Effectively communicate updates, ideas, and concerns with respect to day-to-day responsibilities

***You'll enjoy the flexibility of 3 days (Monday- Wednesday) in the office in Minnetonka, MN and 2 days telecommute as you take on some tough challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a network management-related role, such as contracting or provider services
  • 1+ years provider contract writing and implementation experience
  • 1+ years of experience in fee schedule development using actuarial models
  • 1+ years of experience using financial models and analysis to negotiate rates with providers
  • 1+ years of experience in performing network adequacy analysis
  • Understanding of claims processing systems and guidelines
  • Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Project management experience 
  • Ability to multi-task, shifting back and forth effectively among multiple activities
  • Solid written, oral and organizational skills 
  • Attention to detail

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $23.94 to $42.40.
