Job Summary: Oversee the day-to-day management of retirement plan administration in conjunction with Plan Sponsors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other assignments, projects and duties may be


  • Decipher financial statements and reconcile activity
  • Eligibility and vesting determination
  • Contribution calculations
  • Non-discrimination testing and calculation of corrective refunds
  • Prepare annual government forms and compliance programs
  • Analyze and interpret plan documents and regulations
  • Address service issues by being proactive in problem solving and resolution support
  • Research regulations and other IRS/DOL guidance to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist plan participants with questions both by phone and in writing
  • Assist plan sponsor with verifying loan limitations, hardship qualifications, benefit calculations and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders are complete and in compliance with plan documents
  • Coordination and submission of materials related to the annual 401(k) plan audit
  • Maintain internal program to track project tasks to ensure accurate management reports
  • Maintain current knowledge of ERISA and other related IRS and DOL regulations
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of established procedures, process documentation and procedural checklists required for the administration and communication of the retirement plans

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of two plus years of post-secondary degree and/or comparable work experience in related business field.
  • Strong math, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills (of physical & digital data)
  • Ability to learn new & changing systems
  • Ability to set priorities, adjust workflow and meet deadlines while providing quality customer service to clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to practice discretion in confidential matters
