Portland Monthly is hiring a highly motivated Sales Account Executive to work with local businesses on developing marketing plans utilizing both our digital and print magazines.


We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Executive to join our successful Sales department. As a Sales Account Executive, you should showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills. You should also act proactively to address clients’ needs and facilitate the sale process from beginning to the end. Strong prospecting skills, relationship development and closing skills are a must.


Ultimately, this position will increase sales and nurture client relationships at a high standard.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate both new and current accounts
  • Act as the point of contact for clients.
  • Organize regular client meetings to discuss their marketing needs
  • Excel at presenting and sharing ideas on how to successfully market their businesses.
  • Resolve problems and handle any customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Identify new potential customers and build a robust sales pipeline to ensure goals are met.
  • Develop sales plans that align with sales budgets.
  • Stay up to date with new digital features and product launches
  • Utilize SagaCity best practices and operating procedures to ensure success.
  • Effectively communicate and work with sales operations to ensure campaigns are effective and are executed as ordered.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance analytics to clients
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience
  • Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Sales account executives selling creative solutions to market B to C.


Qualifications

  • Hands on experience working with a diverse business type
  • An ability to gasp clients’ needs and to increase customer engagement
  • Solid knowledge of CRM software and MS Office
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and time-management skills
  • BS degree, or equivalent experience and education


Location

This hybrid position is largely remote, requiring occasional travel and in-office time. Remote work must be performed primarily in the states of Oregon or Washington.
