OVERALL DUTIES:

The Sales Manager is responsible for day-to-day staff productivity development in line with the store’s strategy, building highly motivated teams and developing the staff to the next level. Ensuring established sales and profit goals are met both individually and as a team. In addition, this individual will assist with supervising and providing the staff with support to reach their goal while modeling MaxMara standards of customer service and the AMICI program.


CORE RESPONSIBILTIES:

Customer Service

  • Must have the ability to maintain and communicate the Company’s commitment to goals, drive sales, and motivate team’s performance
  • Must be skilled in working with clients and building ongoing relationships that will result in increased sales.
  • Insures the methodology of the AMICI program is the standard practiced and followed daily
  • Monitor and encourage client development with associates by reviewing client books monthly through coaching and training.
  • Stresses importance of building a local clientele and new client base.
  • Responsible for handling client service issues
  • Ongoing reinforcement of all aspects related to clienteling

Staff Development

  • Uses training as the tool to refine and enhance the knowledge expectations of the team
  • Manages on the floor to maintain a strong presence
  • Can align other team members to reach goals to support the business.
  • Creates a store environment that emulates the company DNA

Operations

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goals. Assist with achieving the Company’s sales plan for your boutique or outlet by leading the store team to drive sales through constant training and modeling of outstanding customer service skills
  • Assist with closing procedures and/or open store and registers and complete opening procedures to ensure the store is ready for business, including compliance to visual merchandising standards
  • Ensure proper receipt, selling, markdown, and transfer of inventory within the store.
  • Maintain and monitor the staff’s compliance with Company policies and procedures on sales, customer service, dress code, etc., and provide feedback to the Managing Team as needed.

PR/ MKTG

  • Assisting PR dept. in merchandise pulls, acting as pint of contact between corporate PR employees
  • Assisting VIP referral clients on behalf of PR dept. Clients

Human Resources

  • Supervise store personnel, insuring all company policies and procedures are being followed on the sales floor
  • Exhibit strong communication skills that are clear and concise with the store team, Management and Divisional Director
  • Create a positive store atmosphere that consistently motivates the team


REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION

  • BA a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the apparel industry with a proven track record of driving sales and excellence in customer service; luxury a plus
  • RTW and/or shoe experience is a plus; product experience in luxury or high-end retail is strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Training, interviewing, organizational, and performance management skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds when merchandising sales floor using ladders or stairs.
