Sales Manager—North/Central US


As the Sales Manager, North/Central US, you will act as the account manager in a field sales capacity responsible for generating revenue by strategizing, planning, and implementing business plans to new and established accounts, while cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and creating positive business results.

Responsibilities       

  • Reporting to General Manager, Americas in Lawrence, Massachusetts office
  • Implement America’s sales strategy to drive growth through all channels to market (direct and distribution)
  • Leverage customer and distributor relationships to best position GCT to win placements on new designs
  • Build relationships across all levels of key end user customers and distributor partners
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Assist in strategic and tactical decision making for key accounts and opportunities
  • Manage existing global distribution partners and independent sales representative relationships within territory
  • Participate in regular account and opportunity reviews with the general manager
  • Collaborate with West Coast Sales manager to share best practices for identifying and closing opportunities
  • Meet with APAC Sales Manager monthly to discuss tactics and actions on production business transferring to APAC based manufacturing
  • Willingness to travel within territory as and when required 
  • Continuous replenishing of sales funnel based in incoming leads (website, distributor, etc.) as well as other vehicles

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with demonstrated success in a B2B environment
  • Preferred experience sales background within the electronic component industry
  • Understanding of interconnect products an advantage (or an ability to quickly understand technical products)
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of over-achieving targets
  • Energetic team player with the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Demonstrated achievements in meeting revenue, cost, and profitability objectives
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Exceptional Customer service skills
  • Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook) with experience of working with CRM software
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively through all communication channels
  • Preferred location in a Northern state with easy access to an airport

Bachelor’s degree preferred
