JOB SUMMARY

Analyze business and customer needs to support Medline’s prime vendor analytics solutions.  Present findings and recommendations to sales management.  Act as the liaison for Corporate Sales to Medline’s internal IS/BI Department and manage improvement projects and technology enhancements for our internal and customer facing reporting tools and dashboards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop future state customer facing analytics solutions and platforms for Medline’s Prime Vendor customers.
  • Analyze business and customer needs to support Medline’s prime vendor analytics solutions.   Present findings and recommendations to sales management. 
  • Collaborate with IS to create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure systems provide accurate and timely data. Manage process improvement projects and technical enhancements.
  • Develop reporting capabilities and dashboards to measure the trends, efficiencies, and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation and utilization.
  • Train and educate customers on use of our on-line reporting tools (via webinars or live presentations). Develop documentation and training for end users on how to effectively use system features.
  • Become proficient in Medline’s technology offering to Prime Distribution customers to assist their understanding and use of tools Medline provides.
  • Develop advanced level reports and queries for sales management.
  • Support customer and department data and technology requests including assessing need and solution proposal.
  • Research and recommend technology solutions to increase performance.


Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.

Certification / Licensure

  • None required.

Work Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in systems analysis and reporting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Understanding and ability to work within Tableau.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: modifying default field properties, creating a sub form, adding a control button, modifying query criteria and query totals, using conditional formatting and/or viewing data relationships).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
