Imperium Commodity Search has been retained by a market leading Boutique Commodity brokerage seeking a Senior Broker covering the Environmental and Renewable Energy markets. The firm operates from its Head office in the Houston Area along with its affiliated company in Europe, with option for Brokers to be located remotely across the US. Combining a wealth of experience across its existing business covering the Gasoline, NGL’s, Naphtha and Biofuels markets with a highly driven entrepreneurial team they are continuing to expand their business within the Renewable Energy Credits, Carbon Credit Allowances, RIN’s, Low Carbon Fuel Standard credits and related products.


  • Responsible for managing and building out the Environmental and Renewable Energy business across LCFS, CCA’s, REC’s,RINs. CFP credits and related products.
  • Manage relationships with Institutional clients Banks, Hedge Funds, Prop-Shops, Trading Houses, Producers, Commercials, Majors within the Environmental and Renewable Energy markets across North America.
  • Provide Execution Brokerage services for both OTC / Exchange Traded and Physical products within the Renewable Energy and Environmental
  • Produce market reports / pricing analysis liaising within in house Analysts and research houses (Bloomberg, Reuters, Argus etc) providing industry insight and trade strategies for the environmental and renewable energy markets.
  • Strong knowledge of the Physical and derivative products across the Renewable Energy markets and the fundamentals of Hedging/Risk management behind these contracts and markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities for the desk across the North American Environmental markets executing the onboarding and brokerage services in a timely and efficient manner.


  • 3+ years’ experience in a Broking / Trading / Sales or commercial role covering the Environmental & Renewable Energy markets.
  • Transferable portfolio of relations with Suppliers, Producers, Majors, Traders, and commercial businesses across the Carbon Credits, RINS, LCFS, CCA markets.
  • Experienced and strong knowledge/understanding of the OTC, Physical and Listed products within the Renewable and Environmental Markets.
  • Ability to offer clients Live Pricing, Execution, Hedging and bespoke risk management services across the market.
  • Excellent understanding of market analysis and identifying key market trends and trade ideas to produce in depth market reports to customers and industry participants.
  • Series 3 NFA license (Beneficial)
  • Located in Houston (Or ability to work remotely in the USA)
