The Digital Book Store team is seeking talented Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE) to test the Amazon Digital Content experience across multiple surfaces and marketplaces targeted towards our Domestic and International customers. You will design and define the QA processes, develop repeatable and automatable QA systems. You will work with Product Managers, QAEs, SDETs, and SDEs to understand features and technical implementation. You will identify use cases and create test plans, define test strategies, and create manual and automated test cases in order to report to stakeholders on the quality and reliability of our products across multiple languages and locales. If you want to deliver high quality localized Amazon Digital Content releases for state of the art applications and devices this is the place for you. Can you integrate your QA strategy and execution plan with multiple software development teams at once? Are you able to quickly dive deep on localizability bugs to clarify exact reproduction steps and ensure appropriate regression over time?As a QAE at Amazon you are not a pure black box tester: you must be able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and automate repetitive tasks with scripting tools or user-level automation tools. You are also the customer advocate and owner of the customer experience for our product.Knowledge of the following is preferred; Internationalization, Globalization and Localization processes, tools and technology. Service-oriented architecture, product development life cycles (including Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services) as well as project management basics.
