We are looking for a Marketing Generalist to help expand our user base and contribute right away to our success. Our products are well loved -- Meteor.js is already used by over 500,000 developers worldwide with Galaxy Hosting growing consistently along with it.
The role will have four main responsibilities, with other projects being assigned as we move forward. We’re a small team and are looking for someone who is willing to fill gaps as needed.
Ideally, you have experience in the following:
Social Media Management
We need someone with the chops and eagerness to pick up our social channels and run with them. We have a large community of active and engaged users -- your job is to grow our community around an already strong base.
Account Expansion and Lead Generation
A large part of this roll is around account management and generating new leads for Galaxy Hosting. You will need to know user acquisition best practices and be able to implement a system for retaining and expanding existing accounts, as well as automated campaigns to new potential customers.
You are proficient and comfortable running email marketing campaigns to large email lists (over 50k) and can show examples of campaigns you’ve run in the past with solid open and click rates.
You need to be a quality writer and communicator. From time to time we’ll ask you to create case studies with our best customers explaining how and why they use Meteor and Galaxy. This doesn’t require technical knowledge or expertise, but you need to be able to write clearly and concisely.
The successful candidate will need to be very comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to move quickly and efficiently. We are a small, high performing team with big plans and the opportunity to actually execute. You’ll need to be conscientious, adaptable and self motivated. We don’t mind if you have or haven’t worked remotely before. As long as you’re a self starter, that’s fine with us.
- 3+ years in marketing for an online/SaaS company.
- Understanding of account management best practices, what generates quality leads, and how to manage large existing accounts.
- Experience with large email marketing campaigns.
- As stated above, you need to be a quality writer and communicator. Most of your work will be email and content based. Clear writing is essential for this position (and any remote position).
This role is contract based to start.
We don’t really care where you work from, what hours you work or how you work. We care about your ability to execute and that you are a good person. We need you to be able to work efficiently with no one looking over your shoulder. Put simply, we trust each other to do our jobs and we need to be able trust you to do yours.
We have employees around the world and are happy working remotely. This position doesn’t have any specific regional or time zone restrictions. However, we would like you to overlap at least 3-4 working hours with PST whenever possible.
