Description The Development & Events Coordinator will play an important role in the execution of NCF fundraising efforts, particularly by supporting the execution of events such as the Race for Open Space, Summer Dinner, Associates' Party, Appreciation Reception, and various small board-hosted gatherings. This role will be responsible for supporting many aspects of event coordination, including producing event materials, assisting with event preparation, coordinating participant communications, and providing day-of-event support. Additionally, the Development & Events Coordinator will assist the development team with non-event-related tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of NCFâs fundraising efforts. While the position is seasonal, there is potential for the role to expand and evolve based on organizational needs and performance. Please note: This role may require occasional evening and weekend work, particularly around events. Key Responsibilities Provide organized and proactive fundraising support for events, coordinating logistics and tasks to ensure smooth planning, execution, and follow-up Create promotional materials for fundraising events, including email campaigns, digital and print signage, invitations, and other marketing collateral to drive participation Design event collateral such as programs, sponsorship signage, menus, and other printed or digital pieces needed for fundraising events Manage Run SignUp platform for Race for Open Space, including participant registration, race promotion emails, and troubleshooting any registration issues Provide on-site event support, including event setup, registration assistance, and coordination of volunteers during events Attend event committee meetings to offer logistical and operational support, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of event plans Support post-event follow-up communications and gather and record feedback to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement for future events Coordinate with event vendors to ensure fulfillment of services, including communication of timelines, expectations, and schedules Provide general administrative support to the development team, assisting with various tasks as needed outside of events to support ongoing fundraising efforts Requirements Currently pursuing or has earned a B.A. in Marketing, Hospitality, Nonprofit Management, or a related field Interest in exploring nonprofit career opportunities, specifically in development work and event planning Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Comfortable engaging with internal and external members of the NCF community Proficiency with communication and design tools, including email marketing platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic graphic design tools, e.g. Canva Benefits Compensation: $27.00 per hour Housing: Qualified candidates may be eligible for housing assistance; details can be discussed during the hiring process.
