Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-oriented, and seasoned Senior Digital Analyst to lead the reporting integrity and performance visibility for the Ruggable site. Reporting to the Director of Reporting, Analytics & Insights, you will serve as primary authority on site data, ensuring our data architecture, from reporting to user journey analyses, is accurate, actionable and scalable.
The Senior Digital Analyst translates raw data into commercial action for the site. You are a power user of analytics platforms such as GA4 and Heap, with the technical agility to translate raw events data into user journeys and partner with Data Engineering to build reporting for insights. Beyond reporting, you are a strategic partner in site experimentation and personalization, with experience in platforms such as Ninetailed, Optimizely and Constructor, and providing clear performance/statistical results as well as scalable recommendations.
What You’ll Do:
Core eCommerce & Site Performance
- Site Real Estate: Analyze and report on the performance of PLPs, PDPs, and core content pages to ensure optimal user flow and product discovery.
- Device & Funnel Analysis: Monitor and diagnose variances in the conversion funnel across Mobile vs. Desktop, identifying UX opportunities or technical friction unique to each device.
- Traffic Attribution: Analyze collection launch and site performance by traffic channel, ensuring a clear understanding of how different segments interact with site features.
- Commercial Metrics: Own the reporting for Discount vs. Non-Discount sales, Promo vs. Non-Promo lift, and the performance of New vs. Repeat customers over time.
Revenue Forecasting & Strategic Tracking
- Dynamic Forecasting: Support the continuous forecasting and re-forecasting of site KPIs, breaking down targets by traffic channel and customer segment (New vs. Repeat).
- Performance Accountability: Track real-time performance against forecasts and historical benchmarks, providing proactive "flash reports" on AOV, conversion, and RPV when the business is over/under-indexing.
- Market Context: Partner with external vendors to track market share and competitor activity, translating external market shifts into context for our internal performance.
Customer Insights & Cross-Functional Strategy
- 1st & 3rd Party Data Integration: Lead the exploration of customer data by stitching together 1st-party data (geo, cohort, products purchased) with 3rd-party datasets to build a 360-degree view of the Ruggable shopper.
- Consumer Snapshots: Own the end-to-end refresh of the Quarterly Consumer Snapshot deck, providing the definitive narrative on customer demographics and shifting purchase behaviors.
- The Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the primary analytical liaison for the Commercial team, ensuring customer insights are not just "reported," but are consistently applied to product launches, marketing creative, and site strategy.
Testing & Personalization (CRO)
- Experimentation: Lead the analysis for A/B testing and personalization initiatives using Optimizely and Ninetailed, ensuring statistical significance and internal validation of all test outcomes and incremental lift.
- Actionable Readouts: Translate complex test results into clear, "so-what" narratives that provide the Digital team with scalable recommendations for optimization.
Analytical Operations & Strategic Governance
- BI Engineering (Sigma): Lead the buildout and validation of automated eCommerce dashboards in Sigma, translating complex business logic into intuitive, self-service reporting for stakeholders.
- Data Stewardship & Integrity: Partner with Data Engineering to optimize Snowflake tables and implement rigorous validation/alerting systems, ensuring our data infrastructure remains the "absolute source of truth."
- Performance Storytelling: Own the end-to-end delivery of weekly and monthly business reviews, providing context-rich narratives that diagnose the impact of site merchandising and product launches.
- Technical Liaison: Bridge the gap between Tech and Digital leadership by translating commercial needs into technical specifications (e.g., event tracking requirements).
- Advanced Ad-Hoc Synthesis: Rapidly respond to high-stakes requests from leadership by "stitching" together data from disparate sources—Shopify, Heap, Optimizely, Ninetailed, and Constructor—to provide decision-ready insights.
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- Experience: 4–5 years of professional experience with a proven track record in Ecom and Revenue analytics (ideally in a high-growth DTC environment).
- Communication & Synthesis: A strong, persuasive communicator with the ability to distill complex, multi-variate analyses into simple, digestible, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Platform Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience in GA4, Heap, and Shopify; must be a power user of Excel for advanced modeling and data stitching.
- Technical Agility: Advanced SQL skills and a proven ability to quickly learn and master new platform UIs, or BI tools (Sigma).
- BI Expertise: Direct experience with Sigma and/or Looker (LookML). Experience navigating BI migrations is a major plus.
- Metric Fluency: Expert-level understanding of the e-commerce funnel, customer behavior metrics, and the interplay between promotional elasticity and site performance.
- Collaborative Bridge: Proven experience acting as a technical liaison between Data Engineering/Tech teams and Ecom stakeholders to drive high-impact projects.
- Growth Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment and is excited by the prospect of building scalable processes from the ground up.
Preferred:
- Data Engineering Exposure: Experience working within Snowflake or AWS environments and a solid understanding of data warehousing and governance.
- Coding Exposure: Experience with R or Python for data manipulation.
- Engineering Workflow: Familiarity with version control (e.g., GitHub) and working within an agile framework alongside Data Engineering teams.
Compensation:
- Annual base salary between $120,000 - $140,000
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role.
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan.
