The Head Menâs Basketball Coach/Senior Associate Athletic Director is responsible for providing leadership, organization and administration to the basketball team. Essential Duties for Head Menâs Soccer Coach Create a positive and empathetic environment for our student-athletes Work with Athletic Administration and Support Staff to help the program grow in a positive manner Develop and execute recruiting strategies to reach recruiting goals set by the Athletic Department Reach roster goals set by the Athletic Department Use recruiting software provided by the Athletic Department Instruct menâs basketball student-athletes on all aspects of competition, including practice organization, game strategy, individual skill improvement, communication, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship Game preparation Create daily practice plans Coordinate non-conference game schedule Manage team academic requirements and standards Manage team standards on and off the court Inventory team uniforms, gear and equipment Hire and manage part-time assistant coach Knowledge of and commitment to all NCAA, Skyline Conference and UMSV regulations Game management responsibilities Other duties assigned by the Athletic Director Essential Duties for Senior Associate Athletic Director Collaborate with the Director for Athletics and the Vice President for University Student Engagement to build and elevate a prominent menâs basketball program. Lead and actively participate in fundraising initiatives supporting the entire Athletic Department. Serve as a core member of the Athletic Departmentâs senior leadership team. Partner with the Athletic Director and Vice President for University Student Engagement on high-level strategic projects and initiatives.
