Quality Engineering Lead
Your role at Hostinger
At Hostinger, we ship fast - really fast (600–800 production releases per week). At this pace, quality isn't a checkpoint - it's a culture, and we need a QE Lead who gets that.
You’ll join a growing Quality Engineers Guild, where we’re actively building AI-first testing practices and moving to modern frameworks, embedding quality directly into engineering teams. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership — you won’t wait for permission, you’ll drive change.
Quality here is a respected craft, not a gatekeeping function. You’ll work in an environment strongly investing in AI-driven engineering, with fast feedback loops where your work ships quickly and impact is visible almost immediately. All of this in a culture that values directness, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Your day-to-day
-
Leading and mentoring a team of Quality Engineers across multiple product areas
-
Driving the evolution of our E2E and API testing frameworks — including failure categorisation, dashboards, and environment health visibility
-
Championing shift-left practices — quality moves with the code, not after it
-
Collaborating with Delivery Automation on agentic development initiatives, including AI QA agents
-
Running and improving internal testing sessions to drive adoption and real value across teams
-
Contributing to performance testing initiatives and risk assessment frameworks
-
Using data — Grafana dashboards, E2E metrics, staging vs. production signals — to make quality visible and actionable
-
Participating in OKR planning and representing quality at the engineering leadership level.
Your skills and experience
- Solid experience in Quality engineering with a track record of leading teams or initiatives
- Strong hands-on background in E2E and API test automation (TypeScript-based stacks a big plus)
- Experience working in high-velocity engineering environments — you know how to maintain quality without slowing teams down
- A cultural mindset around quality: you believe it's everyone's responsibility, and you know how to influence without authority
- Comfort with data — you use metrics to tell stories and drive decisions, not just report numbers
- Curiosity about AI in testing — prompt engineering, AI-assisted test authoring, agentic workflows
- Strong communication skills — you can write a clear Jira ticket and present to engineering leadership in the same afternoon
- Experience with or interest in Cursor, Vitest, Playwright, or similar modern tooling
Nice to have skills
- Experience building or contributing to internal testing frameworks from scratch
- Familiarity with Grafana, Sentry or similar observability/reporting tools
- Background in PHP or full-stack environments
- Experience hiring and growing QE teams
