Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Newport News, VA
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Shifts Needed: 1st shift 7am to 3:30pm Monday Through Friday; 3rd shift 11:00PM to7:00AM Sunday Through Thursday
Rate: $18 - $24/hr. (Depending on interview assessment and experience)

Duties Include:
- Use CNC machine to bend sheet metal
- Use CNC machine to insert hardware in sheet metal
- Join metal sheets together with spot welding machine
- Set up, clean and maintain tooling
- Check parts produced for dimensional accuracy
- Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently
- Material handling using forklift or pallet jack, and by hand
- Count and stack finished parts
- Deburr parts
- Monitor quality during production
- Maintain equipment & troubleshoot malfunctions
- Other tasks as required
- Follow company procedures and safety rules
Requirements:
To be considered, Applicants for this position must:
- Be comfortable using a computer to operate equipment;
- Have excellent attendance and dependability;
- Be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed;
- Be able to lift up to 75 lbs;
- Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- These skills are preferred but not required:
- Have experience setting up and operating CNC manufacturing equipment;
- Be able to read basic blueprints;
- Be able to use calipers and other precision measuring tools.
