On-site
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to join our growing Enterprise Technology team and help establish a scalable, high-quality QA function across Saronic’s enterprise application ecosystem. This is a hands-on role: you will initially own and execute QA activities directly while defining the processes, tooling, and standards required to build a durable QA organization. As the function matures, you will help shape hiring plans and mentor additional QA resources as needed.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Systems, Engineering, Integration, Security, and functional stakeholders to ensure enterprise platforms and integrations ship with reliable quality, strong controls, and clear traceability. Our environment includes integrated enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, HCM, analytics, collaboration, integration platforms, and manufacturing-related systems) and requires disciplined change management, documentation, and compliance readiness.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the QA strategy for Enterprise Technology, including standards, test planning, and quality gates across the delivery lifecycle.
- Operate hands-on as the initial QA owner: design, execute, and report on test cycles (functional, integration, regression, and UAT support) for enterprise applications and integrations.
- Define and implement QA operating rhythms and governance: test plans, entry/exit criteria, defect triage, release readiness, and post-release validation.
- Partner with product and delivery teams to translate requirements and user stories into testable acceptance criteria and comprehensive test coverage.
- Establish and maintain a QA toolchain (test case management, defect tracking, and reporting) and integrate it with existing delivery tooling where applicable.
- Drive integration and end-to-end testing across enterprise platforms (including but not limited to Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, MuleSoft/integration layer, MES touchpoints, analytics platforms, Slack/Confluence, DocuSign, and Ashby).
- Design and maintain regression testing approaches to minimize production defects as systems scale and change velocity increases.
- Implement lightweight automation where it adds clear value, prioritizing maintainability and high-impact regression coverage.
- Ensure documentation, auditability, and traceability from requirements through testing and release, aligned with change management and internal control expectations.
- Track and communicate quality metrics (defect trends, test coverage, escape rate, cycle time) to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or QA leadership roles supporting enterprise technology products and integrated systems.
- Demonstrated experience building or formalizing QA processes and operating models in a growing or scaling organization.
- Hands-on experience leading end-to-end QA for SaaS and enterprise platforms, including complex integrations and data flows.
- Strong knowledge of QA fundamentals: test strategy, test planning, defect management, regression management, and release readiness.
- Experience testing enterprise applications across common domains such as CRM, ERP, HCM, analytics, collaboration platforms, and integration middleware.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).
- Working knowledge of APIs and integration testing concepts (request/response validation, data mapping verification, idempotency, error handling, and transactional integrity).
- Experience with SSO/identity ecosystems (Okta/Azure AD) and role-based access control validation is a plus.
- Ability to evaluate and implement pragmatic test automation (UI/API) with a focus on maintainability and ROI.
- Comfort operating in compliance-focused, audit-sensitive, or regulated environments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Keys to Success in This Role
- High ownership mentality and comfort being hands-on while building the foundation for a larger QA capability.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to test across workflows that span multiple platforms and integrations.
- Ability to create structure from ambiguity: define processes, standards, and metrics that scale with the organization.
- Clear, proactive communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including crisp risk and readiness reporting.
- Ability to challenge requirements constructively and drive better testability, observability, and quality outcomes.
- Disciplined approach to documentation, change management, and audit readiness.
- Pragmatic mindset that prioritizes highest-risk areas and delivers measurable quality improvements quickly.
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn new platforms and domains as Saronic’s enterprise landscape evolves.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing and walking within the office.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).
