CMSPI is at the forefront of transforming the payments industry, and as our next Insights Associate, youâll be at the heart of this exciting journey. âWhy our Insights & Advocacy Team?â Our purpose-driven department works closely with merchants to create a fairer, more transparent, accessible, and secure payments ecosystem. Working within the Insights team, the Client Insights swim lane exists to ensure that CMSPIâs Fortune 500 client base has access to the latest developments in the payments industry, and to drive Research and Development across the business. What will you be doing? As a member of our Insights team with a focus on Client Insights, you will be responsible for providing market-leading analysis of the global payments industry. You will have exposure to CMSPIâs unique data set, allowing you to identify macro- and microeconomic trends that affect retailers across the world. Day-to-day, you will be analyzing the impact of industry changes such as fee increases, drafting presentations and reports, and presenting insights to Fortune 500 retailers. Your role will have an impact right away, forming the basis of our work with the worldâs largest businesses and driving product development for the business. As an Insights Associate your responsibilities cover, but are not limited to, the following: · Researching, drafting, and presenting bespoke economic, regulatory, and market impact analysis reports to clients, including the worldâs largest retailers, to support their payments strategies and address specific client requests. · Working in partnership with the Product, Data, and Delivery teams on research teams with the goal of expanding CMSPIâs product offering. · Contributing to the development of CMSPIâs Merchant Payments Index tool which utilizes industry-leading data to analyze payments trends. · Creating thought-leadership materials including white papers, blogs and insights reports to drive sales and engagement processes. · The opportunity to present at high-profile industry events such as conferences and webinars on the latest developments in payments. Requirements You are a great match if... · Educated to undergraduate degree level with a minimum overall 3.5 GPA in an Economics-related discipline · 6 months â 1 year of work experience (including internships) · Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with the ability to apply logic, creativity, and problem-solving techniques to complex data · Experience in data visualization using tools such as PowerBI, SQL, and Python to analyze and present data insights is preferred but not essential · Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel · Excellent written skills â ability to write in an insightful, accurate and persuasive manner · An appetite to learn, and the ability to present market research insights in an engaging way to influence business decisions · Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at any one time · Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both formal and informal settings · Comfortable presenting to clients and addressing their requests is preferred but not essential Benefits What we offer...
