SUMMARY: Compensation: $250 per day Schedule: 8 hours per day Duration: Long term substitute position Location: Donegal School District Central Office To thrive in this position, you will: Manage payroll and related activities with precision. Ensure timely submission of payroll. Adhere to both verbal and written guidance while proposing enhancements to payroll processes. Revise working instructions and payroll standard operating procedures as necessary. Make informed payroll decisions independently and seek input as needed. Stay updated on evolving guidelines, regulations, and laws. Handle payroll-related functions with confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations. Assist business office to perform other duties that may include data entry, reporting, compliance, and bookkeeping. Requirements EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree: 3 years of payroll experience - preferred High School Diploma or equivalent: 1-2 years of payroll experience Proficiency with excel and payroll systems CREDENTIALS: *Clearances current within 12 months & TB within 3 months PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance PA Department of Education FBI TB screening Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts Benefits *The Payroll Specialist is an independent contract (1099) position.
