Location: Jackson, MO (On-Site) Pay Rate: $24–$30/hour Employment Type: Full-Time Description Ace Handyman Services is looking for an experienced, reliable Handyman / Craftsman who takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys helping customers with a wide variety of home repair and improvement projects. If you’re professional, customer-focused, and enjoy solving problems in the field, this could be a great fit. Overview This role is ideal for a skilled handyman who can confidently handle both interior and exterior work — from quick punch-list repairs to larger multi-day projects. You’ll work independently in the field while receiving support from an organized office team, and you’ll be expected to represent Ace Handyman Services with strong communication and professionalism. Responsibilities Drywall repair and finishing Painting (interior/exterior) Flooring install and repair (tile, wood, vinyl) Light plumbing and electrical (fixture installs, caulking, detectors) Door and window repair/install Tile work and kitchen backsplash Deck/fence maintenance and repair Gutter cleaning and siding work General furniture and fixture assembly Safety modifications for seniors or accessibility Exterior tasks including powerwashing, yard work, and shed builds Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service Manage time effectively and work independently in the field Learn and use mobile systems/technology for job tracking Requirements Drywall repair and finishing Painting (interior/exterior) Flooring install and repair (tile, wood, vinyl) Light plumbing and electrical (fixture installs, caulking, detectors) Door and window repair/install Tile work and kitchen backsplash Deck/fence maintenance and repair Gutter cleaning and siding work General furniture and fixture assembly Safety modifications for seniors or accessibility Exterior tasks, including powerwashing, yard work, and shed builds Willingness and ability to learn new systems and technology Good communication and customer interaction skills Time management and self-direction in the field Nice-to-Have Basic concrete or masonry knowledge Familiarity with pet-friendly home upgrades or custom builds Seasonal home maintenance (winterization, storm recovery) Ability to install and set up basic home technology (TVs, smart devices, security systems) Light landscaping or outdoor maintenance experience Knowledge of energy efficiency improvements (insulation, sealing, weatherization) Refinishing and surface restoration techniques (wood, cabinets, doors) Storage and space optimization (closet systems, attic access, shelving) Comfort working on ladders and in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces) Strong problem-solving and creative repair thinking Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Health Care Dental Apply for this job
