To qualify for the GS-14, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, directing and managing an effective, comprehensive protocol/distinguished visitor (DV) program based on a thorough knowledge of the organization's makeup to include its interrelationships with other components of DOD, other agencies, services and governments. Experience providing direct guidance and support in the development and planning of official social functions including directing the preparation of guest lists, funding, seating diagrams, invitations, catering/equipment contracts, and automated files of guests and events. Experience interpreting pertinent regulations concerning military protocol and use of Official Representation Funds SECNAVINST 7042.7L and providing guidance as required to the organization and subordinate commands. Experience supervising military and civilians staff involved in a variety of complex command support functions in the Executive Dining Facility, Flag Barge, and command's conference center supporting senior military leadership and senior civilian executives.
