The Web Product/Tech Lead is responsible for working closely with project and account team members to ensure successful build and delivery for all projects. You will work with the client and project teams to understand the business context, roadmap the known project(s), and provide estimates to the proposed roadmap.
The Web Product/Tech Lead has an intimate understanding of the WordPress Backend, Frontend, and the newly-emerged Gutenberg blocks technology. This uniquely positions you to recommend approaches to client requests and needs. While this is a mostly remote position, we are looking for candidates that are local and open to regularly collaborating with the client 2-3 times per week onsite in NYC.
We are looking for candidates who have at least 5+ years of professional experience in web development and has experience leading other developers. The candidate ideally has worked on cross-functional teams, has strong project management skills and enjoys engaging collaboratively with the client team. Freelance experience and/or agency background experience is a plus. Knowledge of AMP, DFP, Apple News, front and backend optimizations, and SEO best practices all super valuable for this role.
You will be responsible for one or two primary accounts with the Agency as well as make on-site visits up to three times per week. You will be reporting to the lead producer and developer on the account. You will have the opportunity to not only execute but also architect solutions specific to the client's business needs.
